Tim Bouchard

About Me

Born in Montreal in the winter of 76, Tim Bouchard moved to New Brunswick when his father began studying Law at the University of Moncton. His father is now a Professor and his mother now an English Professor. Tim Bouchard has five brothers of whom are musicians, writers and composers. In the fall and early winter of 1998 holed up in a house in Edgetts Landing of Albert County. Short on fuel, water and food but full of music and companionship. Encouraged by his band mates Tim Bouchard began singing. Writing poetry to the tears of the Old Laughing Lady that later transcended to lyrics. His brother Justin was the drummer, Corey the guitar player, Groothuis the bass and Parsons on rythym to the alternative underground band Gibbous. When the band broke up, Tim continued to polish his writing skills, as well as intensifying his guitar, piano and harmonica abilities.Influenced by the folk, grunge and poetry of Crazy Horse, Purple Knight, Leonard Cohen, Poe and Ginsberg. Tim Bouchard began expressing himself both experimentally and alternatively with his vocal styling, acoustic guitar, harmonica and song writing. The storytelling encompasses a lifelong pursuit of cosmic connection and new experience through travel and exploration both physically and psychologically of the country, urban and rural. Bordering on traditional and non-traditional styles of folk music. He began jamming with local musicians at the bar Au Deuxième and moved on to playing solo shows at coffee houses, pubs, and bars throughout the province. Tim Bouchard has shared the stage with such performers as Les Païens, The Feedback Scars, Steve Leblanc of Tracy Star, Alex Madson of the Divorcees, David Myles and Brent Mason.Tim has created his own independent recording label, Black Diamond Records, in which he has recorded, produced and released three underground albums entitled Diamond, Rough Cuts, Mined and the soon to be released Cabin Fever. Cabin Fever will be released on December 11th 2008. The album Cabin Fever is an elegy of triumph over loss, paranoia and independence. Tim Bouchard is busy promoting and touring this latest effort. He will release another independently suited album while maintaining his artistic creativity and ownership. The album will feature his acoustic sounds and folk stories in the spring of 2009.

Sounds Like: In 1984 A loner was dreaming Of living for eternity He created the perfect body One free of hunger and disease He was putting his soul in the body And all the memories of his mind Tick talk goes the sound of time Transfering soul and mind Hope for a better tomorow No Death loss or Sorrow Out of fear and paranoia The CIA stopped the process Out of fear and paranoia This being could be used as a weapon And take the military domination from them The loner died before the transfer was complete The US government hid the body In a secret base up in Alaska Time turns the memory burns And the dream is almost forgotten The Army tests a super sonic weapon One that vibrates and separates the Atoms The being feels the sound and turns it in to Energy Every day he gets stronger and stronger In 1984 Hell's kitten was singing in a Punk band She apposed the military and sang against the nuclear bang She believed in the loner and believed in his dream Till one night she was raped and killed by some darkness unseen Our souls are burning in the stars Our bodies empty without the light Formless energy in the galaxy Searching desperatly for anybody
