About Me

My Interests

Costuming, prop building, history, movies, airsoft, dancing, writing and my wife Mindy! I started a little web site dedicated to Stargate SG-1 Costuming and Prop Building at SG-Command.NET, I left and started a better stargate props and costuming fan club called www.StargateHero.NET along with its sister sites www.GalacticaHero.NET, FireFlyHero.NET, ResidentEvilHero.NET, Anime-Hero.NET and ChickHero.NET its all fun and geeky!

I'd like to meet:

Cool and interesting people or geeky neo-nerds who are into costuming & prop building (no, not cross-dressing!) will do nicely.

Music:

Sheesh to many artists to list! XTC, Five for Fighting, Michelle Branch, Evanesseces, Liz Phare, Avirl Levin, Sarah McLaughlin, Bruce Springsteen, the Cars, Berlin, Steve Lucky and the Rubbabumbs, etc...I love swing music, disco, regga, rock, country, alternative, some metal, some rap, R&B, folk rock, classical, modern musicals, and more :)

Movies:

I love movies! I love going to them, being in them (I've worked several times as a Professional Military/Police background actor on "Megiddo: Omega Code 2", "Got Money", and "VIP" : Saving Private Irons eps.) and making them (student films in High School & College, and Fan Films for Stargate SG-1 and Aliens)Best movie ever made (and better than the book!): Silence of the Lambs Love epic and historical movies. War movies and even anti-war movies as well as good Sci-fi movies (Lord of the Rings 1,2,3; Star Wars 4 &5; Star Trek 2, 4, 6, 8; Alien & Aliens; Blade; Stargate; Galaxy Quest). Police action films like The Negotiator, Colors, Training Day, Bad Boys are always fun!OK then there are some good "chic" films: Mean Girls, 13 going on 30, Love Actually and the Devil Wore Prada have been some good ones. And go see the Big Damn Movie "Serenity"!

Television:

I'm a sci-fi and action fan. Currently, Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica are my favorite shows. Space: Above and Beyond was a favorite show that never got a chance to show it's stuff. Trek was good until Enterprise, oh well. All of the Law and Order shows are great! I tend to watch shows that I learn stuff on as well like just about anything on the HGTV, food channel and history channel!

Books:

I read mostly reference books on writing, story & character crafting, history, anything I can use for costuming, military, police procedurals, sci-fi and current events.

Heroes:

"Imagination is more important than knowledge..." - Albert Einstien (a guy who knows how to make a bad hairday a trademark)My true heroes are the men and women who everyday are willing to put their lives on the line for benefits of others and serve with honor and decency.
