About Me

I began when I was a kid in the ‘90s in Brighton Pier playing with my mother’s cassette recorder. I adapted it for me making some changes, a kind of concrete music like Schoenberg. Then, thanks to my bestfriend I quickly dicovered and liked Led Zeppelin and all his progressive rock discs. When I was fifteen I acquired a more consequent cassette recorder (an Akai). While playing the classic guitar, I wrote and produced myself songs which were a mix between Stevie Wonder and a lot of groups like XTC or Television. Then, one day in 1996, I saw a documentary about Steve Reich (pioneer of the serial music ndr) which really astonished me. During the same week I heard the “Freak” of Chic. These two elements which seem really different definitively opened my eyes about the impact of repetitive music. In 2000 I integrated a course of arts and performances in high school managed by hippies which encouraged total expressivity. I had the key of their fantastic studio duplicated ; it was full of very old analogical synthetizers that’s why I spent all my nights there. There, I became a sound engineer but I was also fond of many experimental type-setters like Stockhausen. In order to obtain my diploma, I had to produce six songs… I obviously succeeded.
