His father often entertained him with steel pan renditions of traditional calypso tunes. However, due to his academic pursuits, it was not until his teenage years that he put his love for music into action. He enjoyed all genres of music, that he was influenced to become a DJ.
Sedale graduated from the St. Mary’s College in St. Lucia, and moved to the U.S. to further his education. While studying Business Administration at Medgar Evers College in the US he got together with some friends and started a sound system called “Infrared Sounds.†This sound became so popular that it is now one of New York’s top rated St. Lucian sound systems. Being away from his home has triggered an immense amount of St. Lucian pride, as most of his friends now refer to him as a, mini ambassador for his country as he is always willing to share his culture with everyone that would listen.
Sedale’s innate passion for soca music resulted in his emergence as a soca artist. He sites The Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, De Invader, De Ashanti, Herb Black, Bunji Garlin, Machel Montano, Mr. Slaughter, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Tupac, and Biggie as some of his musical influences. In his quest to become a notable soca artiste, Sedale teamed up with Trinidadian Producer Shawn Noel who produced his hit singles "Roll Deep" and "Fallen Soldiers (We Missing You)" In his second year in the soca arena Sedale teamed up with Courtney Louis (Co - Produced Jumbie for Machel Montano, produced The St.Lucian Riddim, produced Ova Yuh Head for Iwer George) who produced One Night Stand. By the ending of his second year in the business, Sedale began working closely with writer/producer and childhood friend Darence "Hitty" Paul. Hitty along with Leonarde Lestrade of St.Kitts in a collaborative effort created the Mash Up Time Riddim which was the first official riddim release for the two young producers. It was only natural for Sedale to be featured on this riddim. His song "Mentally Ill" was the flagship for the riddim and it was first released in New York City where the song is a favorite amongst party goers. In St.Lucia the song garnered Sedale much recognition eventually earning him spots on some of St.Lucia's premiere stage shows such as Wet Fete and NG Soca Stage.
With his undying passion for Soca music and West Indian culture Sedale is poised to take soca music to the world with his catchy lyrics, powerful voice and innovative style!!!!
