Kaya's Kitchen was established in January 2005 by owner and head chef Omer Basatemur. Omer and his wife Jenn named the restaurant after their daughter, who was the main influence for Omer to serve the highest quality vegan cuisine, knowing that his daughter's name was being represented.
After the first three years of business, the feedback from our valued patrons has been quite positive, and we are looking to take that to an even higher level every day. At Kaya's, our top priority is customer satisfaction. Whether it be the quality of our food, to the ambiance, or the quality of service provided by our staff, we strive to achieve success in all those areas.
A Personal Message From the Owner-
Analyzing the state of our nation, it is clear that there are many problems, spanning from environmental issues, to needless wars, to a nation of Americans who are unclear of the future. As much as it is clear that there are problems these days, it is just as clear that there is a necessary spiritual change also taking place. We as free-thinking individuals need to realize the effects of our actions. Now, I know that adopting a Vegetarian diet will not solve all the problems, but to be able to do your part in making the world a better place is important. The joy that I get just by knowing that we are working to make a difference in our own way is a satisfaction that should be experienced by everyone.
We know how to dish out great tasting, nutritious, and healthy food without the torture and slaughter of helpless innocent animals as a result of the awful factory farming industry, which is one of the major pollutants we see today. To consume that negative energy is plain senseless and unhealthy. I know that becoming vegetarian is one of, if not the best, choice I've ever made. So to all our frequent diners and to those who may be just finding out about us, we deeply appreciate all of your support and hope that the future is a positive and joyful one for us and our children.
