HOWARD PAVANE

About Me

Howard Pavane is a multiple award winning singer-songwriter and lyricist. His inspirations come from real life events and experiences, and some not so real, which he creatively weaves into narrative acoustic folk compositions, self-described as “Songs of Life”. To Howard songwriting isn't just about writing songs, but rather the true art lies in rewriting as often as it takes to craft a song that satisfies him as well as the listener. Perhaps that is why his talent as a storyteller has been recognized for consistently creative tight lyrical content.
Howard resides in scenic Long Island, New York, where he writes and performs, playing his original compositions on piano, synthesizer keyboards and acoustic guitars, obviously not all at the same time. Howard performs at least once a month via the Island Songwriters Showcase (ISS), including songwriter circle sessions. He also plays local gigs at small clubs and other venues and performs at benefits.
The craft of songwriting is a continuous and wonderful journey, music being a universal language that moves us all. Howard satisfies his inner muse by continually improving his craft. He takes on-line classes at SongU.com, participates in teleseminars, networks and collaborates with other writers, reads books and articles, attends conferences and other live events, such as the annual ASCAP Expo in Hollywood, CA and ASCAP Sessions in NYC.
Even so, he always finds the time to write - or is it that writing always finds time for him? As much as he enjoys creating and playing to a live audience, his principal objective lies in his ability as songwriter, and particularly in his award winning work as a lyricist... Howard's ultimate goal is to promote, publish, sell and license his original songs and/or lyrics.
