About Me

I'm easy to get to know yet sometimes I'm not. A contradiction in myself. Trying to find out where I fit in and the real me. Free spirited, yet caged in my own mind. Low maintenance casual chic, but girlie girl when I want - an equal fusion of the two. Self-proclaimed workaholic, lover of aid work and helping those less fortunate than me...I will always do ANYTHING for my family friends and loved ones and if you cross me, be very afraid! I will walk a thousand miles to help a true friend.
There's a constant chatter in my head that won't quit, sometimes overly-analytical, neurotic and other times not a care in the world and just chilled. Love to laugh, chill, relax, keep busy having fun and if I didn't have my writing to keep me busy I'd go insane! Travelling the true travel off the beaten track (NO CLUB MED!), new cultures, religions, history...meeting new people to make this life interesting. So many things to see and do and not enough time to do them in.

My Interests

Travel, history, religion, meeting people, horse riding, road trips, acting, writing screenplays, photography...I'm varied in interests...

I'd like to meet:

People like me - fun and carefree who love to try new stuff, road trips, dancing, music...anything! I love getting dirty in the mud and having fun (who cares about breaking a nail!). It would be great to get to know people in the London area since I have only been here for 1 year and can count my friends on 1 hand! (and I'm here till 2012)

Music:

Anything! I listen to anything but value "real" music (band - drums, guitar etc) over synthesised stuff but I have loads of different genres on my iPod (my bestest friend).

Movies:

I love the 80's. The Breakfast Club, Karate Kid flicks, The Goonies, Pretty In Pink, 16 Candles, Indiana Jones, St Elmo's Fire, Old School, Tomb Raider I/II, Amistad, Shrek I/II, Star Wars, Unsual Suspects, Man on Fire, Finding Neverland, Charly, Jewel of the Nile and Romancing the Stone, Kingdom of Heaven, Pirates of the Caribbean, You Got Served, Mannequin, Dirty Dancing, Brothers Grimm, 50 First Dates, Zoolander, Saw, The Passion, The Pricess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, XXX, A Man Apart, Bad Boys I/II, Barberyshop I/II, Beyond Borders, Hotel Rwanda, The Interpretor, Constantine, Dodgeball, Dream Catcher, Hell Boy, Kill Bill I/II, Kissing Jessica Stein, Napolean Dynamite, The Rundown, Walk Tall, Pitch Black, Gone In 60 Seconds, Girl Interrupted, When Harry Met Sally,,,

Television:

TV is crap in the UK...But previously I loved CSI, The OC, Supernatural, Las Vegas, Desperate Housewives. I'm an 80's kid...I love Scooby Doo (and recently got to watch the new stuff on TV!!! WICKED!), Carebears and Tranformers...And when it was on - Sex In The City (!!!!), Alias, Buffy, Angel, Frasier, Seinfeld...

Books:

Cane River (Lalita Tademy), anything by Kathy Reichs, Linda Fairstein, The DaVinci Code, Angels & Demons, The Genisis Code, historical books, anything mysterious or books that have fact and fiction mingled together...learning while you read.

Heroes:

People throughout history that have had the guts to stand up against the face of evil or adversity and speak up about the situations to try to make the situation more positive and peaceful. All the people in Rwanda who risked their own lives for saving the lives of those who were targeted to be killed because they were Tutsi or Hutu but Tutsi lovers. If you've been to Rwanda and heard the stories - you would understand why I place them as Heroes. My mother! She's had many struggles, but always remained positive and on top. Through adversity she is a shining angle and beacon guiding me.
