I, Rachel Sampson, promise to make 2007 a year of healthy lifestyle changes which include but are not limited to healing and bettering the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of my life.
To achieve a healthy Rachel, I promise to do the following:
1. Commit myself to a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week with a minimum commitment of 2 days of cardio workouts.
2. Commit myself to healthier eating habits which include a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, grains, and meat. This diet will NOT include the following:
a. Fast food (Salads or occasional grilled chicken acceptable)
b. Non-diet Soda (One non-diet soda of 12 oz allowed per week)
c. Foods high in sugar or fat grams
d. Candy
3. Commit myself to trying a completely NEW thing at least once a month to broaden my horizons.
4. Commit myself to being social outside of work or home with my friends at least one time a month.
5. Commit myself to making at least one NEW friend outside of work each quarter. That totals a minimum of 4 new friends for 2007!
6. Commit myself to a year of celibacy unless I find a partner who deserves my love, affection, and attention. In other words, no meaningful one-night relationships in the year 2007.
7. Commit myself to a minimum of 30 minutes each week for peaceful meditation to clear my thoughts and stresses. This includes but not limited to a hot bubble bath.
8. Commit myself to write in a journal a minimum of 3 times a week to clear my thoughts and stresses before I sleep.
9. Commit myself to inspire others and lead by example at work and at home.
10. Commit myself to helping others with volunteer work.
11. Commit myself to laughing more and focusing less on the negative in my life and more on the positive.
With successfully following these steps, I believe 2007 will be the year to build a healthy Rachel, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I commit myself to each one of these steps.
