About Me

Pat Villines started playing music at the age of eleven, beginning with drums and moving to guitar, mandolin, banjo, and bass. He is known for trying his hand at any instrument that comes his way. He has been in several popular bands in the Northwest Arkansas region and has been a part of our local music scene for nearly ten years running. He has been featured on Michael Feldman's "What da' You Know" show on National Public Radio. He has also recieved a number of awards from Ozark Music Awards such as Best Original Song, Best Acoustic Stringed Instrument Player two years in a row, Best New Album, and Best Americana Folk Band two years running. North Arkansas Music Awards (NAMA) has awarded Pat w/ Best New Band, Best Americana/Folk Band twice running, Band of the Year, and Best Male Vocalist. He has performed with such acts as Tony Furtado, Bone Pony, Effron White, Jeff Sipes(jazz is Dead, Aquarium Rescue Unit), Keith Grimwood(Trout Fishing In America), Emily Kaitz, Split Lip Rayfield, Peter Rowan, Ashley Monroe, The Honey Dew Drops, Don Henley, Still On The Hill, Sarah Hughes, Larry(Loves You!), and The Flip Off Pirates. Pat has also opened for Old Crow Medicine Show, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and Yonder Mountain String Band.
Mattie Speece began singing as a small child and took guitar lessons for many years, though set aside music to focus on visual art. After Patrick and Mattie built their home and were married the two began making music together. The duo recently were accepted on A Prairie Home Companion's "People In Their Twenties Contest" and won second place.
