Sunday Obsession’s story began with four young kids from West Virginia, with only two years of trumpet playing experience among them. With hearts desiring the will of God and a work ethic of older counterparts, the members developed their unique sound and dedication to spreading the good news. Cody, Justin, Devan, and Dillon started Sunday Obsession in early 2004 and have made steady progress ever since. Although the accomplishments in the first few years were mainly high scores in video games, the band would eventually attend a Battlecry event where they would be electrified by “I am Free†performed by Unhindered. During the same time senior youth from Shannondale Springs Chapel were moved to begin a youth oriented worship event called " The Night". The two forces joined together and Sunday Obsession began regular performances. Since those events The band has played approximately 120 shows and gone through a lineup change with Devan moving on to pursue theatre ministry. The growth has continued and the lineup change has spurred a new sound and resolve.
1Justin Francis Age 18 Guitar: Justin is the driving force behind the sound. An aspiring sound technician Justin has build and bought a 15,000 watt Pa system which the band almost always carries with them. A seemingly tireless worker Justin is attending college, working on earning his contractors license, working the contruction business, runs his own lawn care business, and pours hours into the band.1Dillon Francis Age 16 Drums: Dillon is a gifted percussionist and is continuing to get better with every concert. Currently the band travels with a digital set of drums, but there will be more news coming up about that. Dillon is usually the first on in line to help someone.1Cody Holmes Age 16 Bass/Vocals: AKA Chunk Cody is the bands lovable front man. Cody as the valuable ability to make people laugh and at the same time be sincere. His vocal styling has been compared to the front men of Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy.
