This well-known Bible verse was the inspiration for a handful of the UK’s top Christian rappers to unite together and form the collective known as the’ Wise Counsel’.
The backgrounds of the members might be considered somewhat typical of today’s youth – but their destiny’s definitely aren’t. Each member of the Wise Counsel carries a burning conviction to bring God’s word to the urban community and turn others as they have been turned, from darkness to light. What’s more is it’s fast becoming clear to all that they have what it takes to do just that.
Their sound reflects the lifestyle, the music and the environments they came from. Their lyrics reflect the Godly wisdom and focus that has brought them this far.
The talented team roster consists of Jahaziel, New Direction, Gems and S.O. Over the past few years each artist has been steadily gaining momentum and experience doing shows all over the UK. Finally the time has come to serve up what they’ve been cooking.
