About Me

Welker is a post-alternative rock band that began in the spring of 2002 in Bradford, Pennsylvania. The core of the group, guitarist Kevin and vocalist Aron, have remained together while searching for consistency in the rhythm section. That consistency was found when the group relocated to Lancaster, PA in the spring of 2005 and coincidentally moved next door to bassist Blake. After posting a wanted ad on his front door, Blake agreed to join up with the group and brought along drummer Tyler. In March of 2006 the band released a self-financed, five-song EP called "The Tang Sessions." The album was recorded by Sean Hayden and Ambience Recording. This was followed by a four-song EP a year later titled "Catching Flame." Welker brings solid rhythm and a unique sound, and they have just begun to spread their original alternative rock.
Welker is distorted prose and power chord poetry. Drunken anecdotes and past regrets. Welker is a voice to speak our minds in metaphorical precision. A backbeat rythm in perfect time. Welker is that nostalgic chill down your spine on a cool summer night when a breeze shakes your subconsciousness.

The Epic Battle - Blake vs. The Trash - July 10 - July 15, 2008

It's rare in today's world when two titans of such epic proportions come together and clash in a hard-fought battle to the death.  The two titans I am referring to are Blake....and The Trash. Whi...

The Show - Sunday, July 20, 2008 - Are We There Yet Tour - Club 19 - York, PA
