Luke Robinson and The Bad Luck Band

About Me

Luke’s review on December 14, 2007, by Don Chance Times and Record News“BAD LUCK” BY LUKE ROBINSON. Luke Robinson, who is from Holliday, Texas, has grown up playing and recording traditional-leaning country music, and his new CD, “Bad Luck,” clearly showcases that growth. His clear tenor is solidly country, without drifting into the annoying nasal whine that makes so many radio hits today sound more or less like the same song. “That’s What I Tell Myself,” “Still Be Loving You,” “She Don’t Know How To Cry” “What Were You Thinkin’ ” and the excellent “Fool’s Moon” show that he also knows how to find or write outstanding songs, too. If he keeps on turning out work like this, before long Luke Robinson could end up showing the big-leaguers how country music is supposed to be done.
