Having been raised in the St. Louis area, Blake Breithaupt is no stranger to the world of music and entertainment. He has been singing, acting and dancing since he was very young and has received multiple honors for his talents. After high school, Blake left St. Louis and headed to "Music City U.S.A." Nashville, TN to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree in Commercial Music with a mixed emphasis in Composition/Arranging and Performance at the prestigious School of Music at Belmont University. An eager and driven musician, he soon sought an internship in the music industry in Nashville. His first internship was with Echomusic, a company that handles fan club, website and brand development for numerous A-list recording artists in the industry.The next stage of his career led him to a job at the world-renowned Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, TN, which is one of the top recording studios in the world. It has been the studio of choice for artists of all genres including Faith Hill, 3 Doors Down, Tim McGraw, Avril Lavigne, and Sheryl Crow. He also had a summer position in 2008 at The William Morris Agency in Nashville, which is the foremost talent and literary agency in the world and represents talent in various entertainment fields including movies, music, television, personal appearances, etc.In addition to internships and his position at Ocean Way Studios and The William Morris Agency, Blake was a student in the Honors Program at Belmont University. As part of his Honors Thesis, he interviewed numerous people in the industry about their careers to gain insight and knowledge about the entertainment industry. These include people in many different parts of the industry including Paul Moore (the William Morris Agency), Chris Gero (Vice President of A&R for Yamaha Corporation), Multi-award-winning hit songwriter/American Idol Judge Kara DioGuardi (Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Jesse McCartney, Faith Hill, etc.), Hit songwriter/Former Evanescence member David Hodges (Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson, David Archuleta, Daughtry, etc.) and many others.On the performing end, at Belmont, Blake was a member of a 12-person vocal jazz group named "Jazzmin" and is the tenor for a 5-person a cappella group named "Soul'd Out". During his career as a member of different groups and as a solo performer, Blake has toured and performed in numerous states including Illinois, Hawaii, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana and Texas. Blake graduated from Belmont University in May 2009 Magna cum laude and a Belmont Honors Program Graduate with a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) Degree with a mixed emphasis in composition/arranging and performance.Blake's complete list of influences is too long to list but include Maroon 5, John Mayer, Jesse McCartney, Gavin DeGraw, Rascal Flatts, and Michael Buble.
