Shon P was given the nickname "BOOMA" by his father BEFORE he could talk or walk because of his love of beating on "pots and pans" that he would pull from the lower kitchen cabinets. By age 8, Shon P, his brother: Shank, and cousins Reggie & Ricardo (both brothers) formed a gospel group named "The Polk Boys" where they sang in churches and at other events. During junior high, his parents could not afford for him to play in the school band, but he refused to give up on his love for music and sounds. He would sneaked in the school band hall play drums for the band director, who later gave him a brand new set of drums, a pair of sticks and an opportunity to play in the band, until he graduated from Coffeeville High School. After graduating, he began writing lyrics and spending time in studio's. His passion for music drove him to purchase his own PC, studio software and sound equipment. Since 2002, Shon P has been producing, writing and recording tracks for himself and others as the "One Man Band". His constant perseverance and growth is proof of his call as a Music Producer & Songwriter. In 2007, Shon P, his brother (Shank), sister (Artricia) and friend (Samuel), together known as the "One Man Band Music Group" began working to establish "One Man Band Music" as an Independent Music Production and Recording Business.
