GREED OF DESIRE

Buscando un equilibrio entre el metal y los sonidos más claros del rock gótico, Greed Of Desire se forma como banda en el año 2002, rechazando desde entonces la opción fácil de seguir las tendencias de moda, para adentrarse en los difíciles terrenos del estilo propio. Así, la banda opta por no salir a la superficie hasta no lograr un sonido totalmente distinguible y grabar su primer demo, logrando esto a finales del 2003, que es cuando ve la luz su primera maqueta “Healing”, la cual logra aceptación rápidamente.

Con esto, Greed Of Desire comienza ahora sí una serie de presentaciones en vivo, aunque sin perder de vista uno de los principales objetivos de la banda: la calidad en la composición. Cabe mencionar que este hecho ha sido distintivo de Greed Of Desire, quienes se precian de ser los mas duros críticos con su música, sin tocarse a veces el corazón (y esto ha sido muy criticado) para desechar canciones.

Es así que se da la salida de su segundo demo “G. O. D.” mostrando una clara evolución del sonido anterior con material más elaborado y con un estilo más personal, destacando A Wound For Every Lie como sencillo.

Un ir y venir de canciones, cambio de integrantes, algunos problemas en el seno del grupo y, sobre todo, mucho trabajo ven llegar el año 2007 un Greed Of Desire con una formación definitiva, la cual se concreta con la inclusión del teclado a la música y culmina con la grabación de “Love Is The Devil’s Toy,” placa sonora llena de ambientes nostálgicos aunados a la dureza del metal más melódico.

Looking for a balance between metal sound and the brightest sounds of gothic rock, Greed Of Desire became a band in the year 2002, rejecting since that moment the easy way of following the fashion tendencies, so they could find a better path through the hard environment of an original style. That way, the band embraces the option of staying in the underground until reaching a distinguishable sound and recording their first demo, making it happen by the end of 2003 when their first song “Healing” sees the light for the first time; a song which received a quick acceptance.

With this, Greed Of Desire begins a number of live performances, without losing sight of the main objectives of the band: quality in their songwriting. This characteristic has been a distinctive sign of Greed Of Desire, who believe themselves to be the most critical factors when it comes down to their music, without feeling any regret (something that has been wildly criticized) about discarding some of their songs.

The release of their second demo “G. O. D.” happens, showing a clear evolution of the previous sound with a more developed material and a more personal style in their music, releasing “A Wound For Every Lie” as a single.

The ups and downs of certain songs, changes in their original band line-up, some problems within the core of the group and, above all, a lot of work face the year 2007 with a Greed Of Desire in a definitive line-up, reinforced with the inclusion of the keyboards and the recording of “Love Is The Devil’s Toy”; a demo full of nostalgic environments and the hardcore of the most melodic metal.
