See us LIVE!!Click HereThe band itself was formed much in the same way that the New River Gorge was
formed - over time. Yes we know, the Gorge was actually formed by the river
cutting through the various formations, but water didn't have anything to do with
this band getting together, and we wanted to shamelessly tie ourselves to the
Gorge, so time it is.Over twenty years ago two of the band members first met and there has been a
friendship and loose musical association among them ever since. In 2004, however, the circumstances were right for this band to come together
and form Shawver's Crossing. With the lovely Dana Boley on lead and tenor vocals, Chuck Garvin on guitar and
lead and tenor vocals, Dave Sweet on banjo and bass vocals, T.J. Boley on
mandolin and lead and baritone vocals and Dave Sizemore on bass, the group is
able to pump out an interesting mix of traditional and non-traditional bluegrass,
that will make any fan of live acoustic music sit up and take notice.
