Rainbow Corner was formed in March 2007, and are based in Belfast, N. Ireland. The founding members of the band were Marty Connolly, Mark Toman and John McAree. Shortly after forming, Conor Huddleston and John Rodgers were invited to join up and complete the line-up. John (McAree) has since left the band and Conor is taking a well earned break. The band decided to try things out as a four piece and Conor and John have been replaced by the talened Lee Crane on lead guitar, with lead singer John Rogers playing rythym. Since then, the guys have continued writing songs and gigging the local Northern Irish circuit playing with various musicians and bands. They have developed their own unique style of 60's/70's inspired indie-rock that has seen them receive extensive airplay on radio stations throughout the UK & Ireland.
The music is raw, melodic, rock n’ roll from a bunch of hardworking Irish guy's with a fine ability to pen addictive tunes.. The obvious influences are The Beatles, Paul Weller, Oasis and The Small Faces. Many other great talents lend energy to the sound Rainbow Corner strive to create - The Band, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Jon Bon Jovi to name but a few.
The bands live performances are hugely energetic, with audiences always left shouting for more. From their first gig in Lavery's bunker in Belfast, Rainbow Corner has steadily built up a very strong support base of fans from across Ireland and further afield. In August 2008, the band successfully toured the East Coast of America and will be appearing soon in venues across the UK & Ireland.
Rainbow Corner are: John Rogers (lead singer, rytyhm guitar), Lee Crane (lead guitar & vocals), Marty Connolly (bass & vocals), & Mark Toman (drums & Vocals), all Belfast boys born and bred.
