One of the best ways to make this project succeed is positioning your stuff at any place on the page despite of MySpace default boxes (remember not to add anything over the top image).
There's a very simple way to do this. Just use the code below:

Let me explain what you see above:
- position:absolute; = this is the tag needed to be able to place your content anywhere on a page, next you need to set the coordinates where your content will be.
- top:380px; = this is the vertical (Y) positionning coordinate in pixels, you can set it to anything above 380px (so you won't cover the top image).
- left:0px; = this is the horizontal (X) positionning coordinate in pixels, you can set it to anything above 0px.
- YOUR CONTENT GOES HERE = just replace this with the content your adding to the page.
That's all you need to know in order to place your content anywhere. Otherwise you can always add your stuff to the default MySpace boxes.
Just one last thing, try to keep your HTML code as succint as possible as MySpace has a maximum number of characters allowed per box. As a matter of fact the best way to make this project succeed is adding images and sounds when adding text is the worst way.
