About Me

motherface was formed in Tampa, FL in 2003 when ex-Crizzy & the Punx and Auditorium drummer Mark Empire realized he'd accumulated several dozen original tunes that were just laying around going unheard in the numerous apartments he'd lived in (don't ask), not to mention obsessively writing more new ones than he knew what to do with, all the while driven by the need to either "sing these words or explode". not being a particularly big fan of spontaneous combustion, he opted to form this band (and exploded anyway; how ironic is that shit?). anyway, the band did precious few gigs, owing to various other projects its members were involved in. although the recorded material has Empire singing and playing everything, the live band consisted of Empire on vocals/guitar, bassist Bill Bois of X Takes the Square and, drummer Shane Warth of Knowing Stu. Empire is now residing in New Jersey, and is recording new material for a full-length release in the near future.in addition, Empire is drumming with Seasons of the Wolf from Bradenton, Florida. he is also playing drums with Mike Kovacs & the Post-Modern Tribe from Old Bridge, NJ, as well as Fuse in New Brunswick, NJ, AND playing guitar w/Pete Vajtay from Somerset, NJ (links for all artists in Top Friends list). Empire is also available for fill-ins/session work and stuff like that. Thanks for reading. Now bugger off.
