The CURRENT Play: my 'gina
In a single day in 1953, one housewife’s pristine present of pot roasts and five o’clock dinners collides with female visitors, enveloped in the movement that would leave her behind. A hippie willing to torch Wellesley, a girl popping gum for Kurt Cobain, an Iraqi woman declaring war on June Cleaver, one woman’s fate with homophobic Wal-Mart values—show Ophelia the words our mother’s mothers deafen with Donna Reed and electric mixers.
The CURRENT Pressmy 'gina. (pronounced: my-jy-nuh)...defined as any and all parts belonging to a woman's heart, mind, and soul. This is here. This is now.
