Jabu Zikalala is a singer, dancer, actress and fabulous cook from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa living between Johannesburg and Zurich, Switzerland. She performs a wide variety of south african styles; from kwela to marabi, from mbaqanga to modern kwaito. Her powerful voice and wide vocal range makes her a gem of a singer, a joy to listen to. Her dance routines are so ernegetic and mesmerizing - food for the eyes, especially for the lovers of pure, authentic african rhythm and dance.
She is famous for her rendition of Mahotella Queens 60's song: "Imi Munosara Nani (Vanamai)" which she did together with her husband Themba Ndlovu and their group Children of Nandi back in the 80's. This song together with "Meet Me in Zimbabwe" a song she wrote made them an instant success in Zimbabwe and Germany where they were based..
