Imagine if you will, a jazz influenced British singer/songwriter backed by Jaco Pastorius, Igor Cavalera and Slash. Having a hard time with that one? It’s hard to lob [Expletive Deleted] in to one set category but if you try you’ll probably say pop rock.
Neil O’Neill’s catchy melodies with sometimes beautifully poetic and sometimes blatantly direct lyrics are in themselves quite special. But if you add to that Jort Landman’s wonderfully driving funky jazz bass, Adriaan Groffen’s smart pounding rhythms and Jente Hummel’s powerful guitar sound you have what is quite definitely a very unique yet strangely familiar sound. With an intensely charismatic stage display, [EXPLETIVE DELETED] is a band that is sure to entertain you and leave you smiling and humming a good tune.
