About Me

Imagine if you will, a jazz influenced British singer/songwriter backed by Jaco Pastorius, Igor Cavalera and Slash. Having a hard time with that one? It’s hard to lob [Expletive Deleted] in to one set category but if you try you’ll probably say pop rock. Neil O’Neill’s catchy melodies with sometimes beautifully poetic and sometimes blatantly direct lyrics are in themselves quite special. But if you add to that Jort Landman’s wonderfully driving funky jazz bass, Adriaan Groffen’s smart pounding rhythms and Jente Hummel’s powerful guitar sound you have what is quite definitely a very unique yet strangely familiar sound. With an intensely charismatic stage display, [EXPLETIVE DELETED] is a band that is sure to entertain you and leave you smiling and humming a good tune.
[Expletive Deleted] would like to thank Dave Mech for his amazing productional skills and Laurens van der Meulen for adding the keys.. respect...

My Interests

Band Members: Neil O'Neill : Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar

Neil likes to watch football in his underwear and is easily charmed by slavic strippers.

Jort (Casey the bubbling bassman) Landman: Bass/Backing Vocals

Casey likes long walks on the beach and gets hard when he hears harmonics.

Adriaan (The Nip) Groffen: Drums

The Nip always likes to make sure his nipples are showing (I bet you didn't see that coming...). he also likes weird rythmic variations that confuse the hell out of Neil O'Neill.

Jente (The Goose) Hummel: Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals

The Goose likes driving and smoking... now there's a sentence I never thought I'd write...

David (The Second Choice) van Egmond: Sound Technician

David actually has absoloutely nothing to do with us... but we thought we'd give him a mention...
Influences: The Beatles, Radiohead, Coldplay, Oasis, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel... and many more.
Sounds Like:Kind of Oasis meets Guns 'N' Roses meets the Beatles meets the Kinks meets Sepultura meets Red Hot Chili Peppers meets Bon Jovi... Someone also recently said we sound like britpop's answer to toto... Don't remember who said that but I thought it sounded cool.
