Sounds Like: Tuomi: "Expense Of Spirit" - EP
For their Macro debut, the trio is joined by live strings and an array of electronics, synths and drum machines, taking their signature concept to the dancefloor in full effect. The EP also features a stripped down minimalistic dub mix of the title track and, very special to us, the pretty experimental "Mourning Eyes". It doesn’t surprise forward thinking DJs like James Holden, Laurent Garnier, Peter Kruder and Raresh picked this one up, too.

The groups name So.Weiss, echoed in the title of the piece So White, derives from a line of dramatic dialogue between Lady Macbeth and her husband just after the latter has killed the king and his unscrupulous wife wants to wash away his feelings of guilt a symbolic scene for just this fluctuation between light and dark that in the course of the album journeys between Scandinavia, old Britain and young Berlin.
