I decided to set up the forum at www.spokanemartialarts.com for two main reasons.
1. To give Inland Northwest martial arts practitioners a central meeting place on the web, regardless of where you train or what style you study.
2. To provide a comprehensive resource for locals who are interested in starting out in the martial arts, but aren't sure where to begin.
Some schools have websites but many do not. There are also qualified instructors teaching out of private dojos that many people don't know about. The yellow pages aren't always up-to-date and finding a school can be a daunting experience for those not familiar with the local scene.
It's my goal to give a web-presence to every martial arts school in Spokane. So, please help keep our list current and accurate. If a school closes it's doors, let me know.
Each school can have it's own forum area so students can keep in touch outside of their dojo. This can also be a place where instructors can post class-schedule changes and announce events.
