Hey everybody! Check out our 1st studio video! More coming soon...3-22-09
Got drums and bass doneand sounds pretty nice.Got guitars started yesterday , and sounds great thanks to our friend sean grieves for letting us barrow his awesome rig.thats it for now.-alex.3-19-09I think it's safe to say we are all tired as hell. We're in studio 4 laying some bass down, monte is doing a 3rd day of drums because he's the workhorse and we love too many snares. Things are going awesomely though, definitely not as fast as we thought of course, but we are having fun and getting some sounds we really wanted. we've been tossing ideas around for names for the ep, concepts... and it's safe to say, we got nothin. Maybe we'll pick out of a hat like The Fray.-Pat
3-7-09Laying drums down! long ass day, got a ton done.2-26-09We are at practice right now, Monte and Al are laying down bass and drums by themselves so so we can iron it all out so i figured I'd take the time to say hi.hi.There's really not much to say... if you haven't saw yet, there's going to be another mac and cheese. It should be pretty cool. Marc has been pretty awesome lately, he carpeted our band room, its a lot more comfy down here now, thanks buddy.I guess Since I don't have much to say about us I'll talk about our friends. check out Bear's new stuff it's awesome. and Reality stricken has been playing so many shows and getting out there I'm so excited for them, definitely one of the hardest working bands I know. Fire In the Eyes of the City is releasing two songs this last weekend of february i think, we've known scott from music for so long and its pretty cool seeing him play with other friends of ours. AAAAAnd Where the Ocean Meets the Sky is having their newest recording mixed and mastered right now, so excited to hear a recording that does them justice.WaWa meatballs are way better then subway meatballs. just wanted to throw that out there.-Pat1-25-09We have plans, and somehow in remembering all these plans we forgot to add "update band space". our Pre-production tracks are almost finished, I think we might be looking at 6 or 7 new songs to record so we are excited/super busy with it all. We are trying to take everything one step at a time so nothing gets skipped or overlooked and that's taking a lot of time and money. We did erase the layout to make room for a new one soon, probably not tomorrow but before the release.. we kind of just got tired of it. no offense to the amazing artist/friend who designed it for us. anyway there's really not much to say without giving away the surprises we have in store for the release. at this point we can't say when we will be finished.. but we're crossing our fingers for April.-pat12-14-08Alright this always happens, but this time its out of our hands. Recording, pre-production, everything is getting pushed back a scooch due to technical difficulties you could say.
What have we been up to you ask? Well, we have been writing still, We're pushing to have as many new songs ready to record as possible. On wednesday Chris from Sound Glare will be coming to our tiny basement to get some video of the current/new songs we'll have the links on here probably. His site is pretty cool, still in the works I believe but its kind of like a video purevolume. Besides that We've all been working alot.. Monte takes a drum home after every practice and touches them up with paint and stuff, its kind of funny. We just played a show friday with some new bands/awesome friends and you should check them all out. It was a great time at an awesome venue for a good cause. We also have a crazy show at the thunderbird lanes on saturday, TFL will be making their comeback that night as well as a Thru It All reunion. Hopefully we'll see you all there, Check out Bear Number 141's show on tuesday at the troc and Seek to Thrill, Team the Team of all Teams, Adalie (their new songs are awesome) aaaaaand thats it.Enjoy the holidays, stay safe, see you soon,Pat11-14-08So it's been a while but we're alive and well, and we hope the same goes for you. Lately we've been settling into our new home/ practice space with our sights set on writing the follow up to our first demo. It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since we've posted these tracks. But anyway, that follow up will most likely be a pressed e.p. making its way around early winter 09.Next Friday 11-21 we'll be playing our first Philly show in about 2-3 months. It's at the new church venue on Broad and Pine sts in center city with some our best friends and favorite local bands. Expect to hear a few of those new songs if you make it out!P.S. All of our merch is now available via www.TheClimb.BigCartel.com or by just clicking the icon below each shirt =) Check it-Mike10-08-08Soooo we are officially in the new practice space and it's super. so much more room, needs some change and some getting use to but its a million times better, we are so stoked.we need blankets.lots of blankets.-Pat9-23-08Writing.we've been cooped up in the basement too small and stuffy for four out of shape/hairy guys. We've all been getting back in the swing of everything fall, mostly Mike and Monte with school. But the weather has been a delightful treat and we are so glad another halloween is getting near, which means another halloween show. I don't know about the guys but its one of my favorite times of year. we are moving practice spaces in a few days I think it's about time and should produce some good results.
thats about it though soooo see you guys this weeend in Richland or Drexel Hill!-Pat9-9-08Hey hey hey! What's crackin' errybody? Hope all is well with everyone.
What's been going on with us lately?? Hmm...well, we've been starting to write on some new material lately. We've been working on a couple (2-3) new songs. Writing is hard, yet fun, as always.
New gear was bought, and some other things will be purchased very soon. Mike owns an Macbook now, which is pretty shaweet to use by the way...for songwriting especially. Apple is the shit. Without a doubt.
But yeah, just giving the heads up on everything. Sorry for the update being a little short on the count of me having massive brainfarts...I get them alot.
That and check out The Kill Pride's new stuff. Pretty niiice.
GO PHILS!!!-Monte8-25-08Hey guys!!! So we got back from our 4 day outing with our friends from Reality Stricken. It was a great time for all of us. A great learning experience, especially our "flat-tire incident" on mile marker 203.7 somewhere in east bumble, virginia, when we all had to lift the actual van due to the lame-ass jack. Cute ass time though.Anywho, we played in Big Stone Gap and Virginia Beach, as well as in Maryland. We got back early saturday morning and had a nice relaxing day before our show in Jersey on sunday. Overall, it was a great time living in a van for a couple of days. Alot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were consumed. Some beer here and there. Alot of wawa runs and some sheets. A visit at virginia beach was great. Got some sun and some nice waves...RIGHTEOUS!!!!Hopefully, we can do it again sometime soon. Just with gas prices a lil bit lower would be great.Until then, gimme dat dick.-Monte8-18-08So we're heading out tomorrow night for our 10 hour trip to Big Stone Gap, Virginia to kick off our 4 day outing. I'm pretty sure we're all crazy excited to get a taste of the road and show ourselves what we're made of before we lay this summer to rest.I'm not even sure if all of us have even been that far from Philly before haha. But we'll be back in Hamilton, NJ, Sunday afternoon so come hang outt!, I think its only 20 minutes from Philly. Until then take care, and leave us some love while we're gone?
