May be broken, but it's the best thing that I know

About Me

"If all points don't lead to love, then I don't know what I'm thinking of..." Song: 'Getting Too Much Sleep', Album: ka-lei-do-schope

There are few singer-songwriters in which the emotional and personal depth of life experience envelopes the vocal performance like southern California singer/songwriter, Jannel Rap.
Jannel has had regional success with her first 3 CD's on both the West coast and in the Midwest. Her 4th project, Blue a national release, was chosen as one of the top 10 albums of 2001 by the Orange County Register and boasts of airplay on over 80 stations. Her song Sea Of Red is a fixture at the legendary Nebraska Cornhusker football games. Jannel has been the support act for artists such as: Nickel Creek, Eddie Money, John Waite, Sophie B Hawkins, Loudon Wainwright III and more
Jannels current release Ka lei do schope was featured on the front page of the OC Register May 2005. Just like the Kaleidoscope changes colors with every turn, so does this multifaceted release. Rap has an effortless way of creating naturally relatable songs. There is truly no competition when you aspire to be your own best self.
"Rap is an excellent singer, armed with a voice that projects even in the lowest end of her range. While many singers use excess volume and high notes in a quest to showcase fabricated emotion and to impress: Rap sings from the heart with disarming honesty." -Robert Kinsler, OC Register (Nov. 2001)
The disappearance of her sister, Gina Bos, in 2000 launched Jannel in an unexpected direction. Her desperate search to find her sister led her to create the non profit, GINA for Missing Persons.

To date: GINA has been involved in over 400 concerts worldwide to bring awareness to the blight of the missing. GINA received a huge endorsement at the 2003 & 2006 Grammys with support from artists such as; Meatloaf, Michael C Ross (Vanessa Carlton, Christina Aguilara), Susan Gibson (Dixie Chicks) and more...
