The Shards

About Me

The Shards were formed in late 2003 from the broken remains of several bands. Adam Brisben (W.A.C.O., Masher) first plotted with Nick Scott (Popdefect, Masher) who both later tricked Justin Burrill (W.A.C.O., The Wild Stares) and D.A. Foster (Glue, Xtra Fancy, Los Superelegantes) to join what has now become The Shards. The Shards have been playing a few shows since then and find it extremely amusing their hot an' sloppy brand of post punk has been compared to the likes of Mission of Burma, The Pixies, The Cure, Television, XTC, Husker Du, The Replacements, and other equally laughable claims. The Shards new 5 song mini-EP demo, "Demonstrate" will enable then to pester local promoters for shows as they create other devious plans for such things as a full-length CD, handmade t-shirts, vinyl stickers that will hold up to the bumper test, recordings that can only be played with a needle, and maybe even playing out of town if Adam ever gets the van happening. The Shards are coming together in front of you, go see them now.
