In 2007 Shake

wend solo afther being in several reggae

bands and working in the studio with his brother

He started to work under the name Soul Rebel

Working on his solo and début album

in his home studio, Shake came in contact

with Marlon Francis from SID entertainment

Together they worked on the cd for 1 year

with lots of difficulties along the way

When the final mix finished at the end

of 2008 Shake wend to find some sponsers

for the album and in April 2009

the album was releaed

Mean while Shake found out that to

perform his music he needed a band

afther walking around talking 2 differend

bands and musicians het came to the

conclusion that the best thing to do

is start his own so in 2008 Johnny Drakenstein

aka Jo Dread Joint Soul Rebel on percusion

Shake knowing Johnny now for some years

and being friends for a long time use to

play together in a reggae band in

Alkmaar in the 90’s

In june 2009 bas player Morvin Hoever

who Shake and Jo dread both

know from Alkmaar joint the band.

On the début cd contains 10 songs Toppie song on the cd

was a number 1 In suriname for 3 weeks but was not

origanaly relaesd yet .

The second number on the song Free Up is about freedom

90% of the album is done by Soul Rebel the concepts and

Lyrics exept those of the feauture artiest
