Joe Lev and Friends

About Me

I am a professional bass player here in Sacramento with 40 years experience in most forms of American music. Joe Lev and Friends is the band name I use when I book gigs under my name, but more often I perform as a sideman. I specialize in subbing, if you need someone to step in in a hurry, I'm your man. I know hundreds of songs in many styles, read music, and have big ears. Some of the bands I am currently performing with:The Jokers ,Ron Bombardier and the Bayou Boys, Steve Foster Band, Jahari Sai Quartet, The Station Jam BandI am ready and able to do gigs of all kinds, subbing is my specialty.I am also a bass and guitar instructor, I teach at the Guitar Workshop here in Sacramento. www.guitarworkshoponline.com I currently have several openings for students. One band that keeps me busy is the Bayou Boys::
