Livewire are a modern blues outfit from Glasgow who've been together since 2006. Influenced by a diverse range of artists, from The Black Keys, The White Stripes and The Stone Roses through to The Doors, Robert Johnson and Hendrix, Livewire deliver a high-tempo, guitar-driven bluesy sound. The band is fronted by the gravel-voiced Gerry Paterson, with Nick Kelly providing the driving riffs on guitar. James Gibb delivers the bass hooks and backing vocals, with David Watt completing the line up on drums. The band are making a bit of a name for themselves on the live circuit in Glasgow, clocking up consistently impressive performances in venues such as The Arches, The Ferry, Box, McChuills, Drawing Room and Buddha Bar.
