If you’re not watching, the face-crunching guitar will hook you in… but chances are, if you are anywhere NEAR Killola, you ARE watching. Blonde bombshell front-woman Lisa R. channels the pipes of Janis Joplin, the manic stage presence of Jello Biafra, and the looks of Debbie Harry. The band has been billed in the past as “pop-punk,†but such a label doesn’t do them justice. They are post-powerpop, post-punk, post-glam, post-eighties-club-scene… pretty much post-everything, making them something all together different: kick-ass rock and roll, which is sorely missing from today’s radio climate.
Hailing from Los Angeles, Killola managed to completely sell-out their first release “Louder, Louder!†(2006) over the internet and via their merch-table (rare copies sell for upwards of $45 on Amazon). Chuck Eddy (Senior Editor at Billboard Magazine) rated the album #37 on his “Favorite 200 Albums of 2006?. The band uses their massive Myspace presence to full-advantage, and their music/buzz has spread to all corners of the globe, and shows no signs of stopping.
Content producers at DirecTV have given the charismatic band notable attention as of late, culminating with the band members playing as hosts of a new Music Show called “THE FIZZ MUZZIC†on the 101/DirecTV, serving 19 million homes in North America.
Killola picks up heavy attention through their high-energy live performances; and the band was able to successfully capture this side of their presence in a live DVD/CD release “Killola: LIVE IN HOLLYWOODâ€. Not to be caught again by the out-of-stock sign, fans worldwide swarmed on the DVD through the band’s website: www.killola.com
A two-week UK tour will commence in May 2007, on the heels of their first UK single “Barrel of Donkeys†and its B-side “I Don’t Know Whoâ€, releasing in the UK (and internet) through a limited-press 7? vinyl single on Kerascene Recordings. Rare vinyl collectors and Killola fans alike need no prodding, as the single is already looking to sell out quickly.
Buzz about “I Am The Messer†the highly-anticipated follow-up to “Louder, Louder!†is already in motion. All news/videos/noteworthy-plans are released daily, and up-to-the-minute, on the band’s Myspace page and website.

Critics On "Louder,LOUDER"
"We really love the energy that comes out on this recording, and one does have to wonder why these guys aren't huge!"
- Full Frontal Recordings, UK
"Blondie for the 21st Century... Their album "Louder, Louder!" is a monster of a debut. Leaving you breathless, charmed and feeling refreshed by the possibilities rock music still holds."
- Kudos Magazine, UK
"Catchy songs, hot singer, great band. Why these guys aren't already HUGE stars remains a mystery to me, but we are working on it, aren't we?"
- Dave Navarro, on 6767.com
"On the surface, as warm and cuddly as a bra full of puppies... Dig a little deeper, though, and it soon becomes apparent that each bite of the candyfloss is laced with razor wire."
- Classic Rock Magazine
