Slayed Nekros (the true)

In 1988, I was part of the elite Montreal hardcore/metal scene as singer for the politically and socially orientated grindcore band Slayed Nekros with friends. The line-up consisted of me, Éric ,Erk' Roger on vocals - Skippy on guitar - J.M. on bass and Mart on drums. We went to the SARM studio in Longueil to record what would become our first and only demo. While improvising we create 19 songs in almost 20 min which would become a classic demo in the local scene. That demo would be called Noise! and as mention had 19 songs, was spread throughout the world due to tape trading. Sadly the band didnt live very long, about 1 year but we had tie to play some local show along with Toxic Waste and B.A.R.F. The first concert was with T.W. at the Maison Des Jeunes de St.-Hubert but this was a complete failure. The sound was so loud the cops came on stage to have us stop. The 2nd concert , with B.A.R.F. was perfect but way too short. The original band ceased to exist.Not so long ago the former members decide to reform the band and re-record the Noise! demo in a style that lean more toward death metal than the hardcore/grind of the origin. All the songs were originally create by 'Erk' (who's also wrote the lyrics for 'Le P'Tit Poisson Y'é Mort' for Damnation and later covered by BARF) by improvising but since the guys didnt like the first demo, they didnt contact him for the re-recording but still to this day ,Erk' is still very proud of the true Slayed Nekros songs whether the other original members like it or not! the true Slayed Nekros was with Éric Roger and this is forever.
