The Summer Night Affair

About Me

"Dancing is the new era." That’s what three guys from the Netherlands thought when they came up with the Summer Night Affair.
They founded the band in January 2006 in a room full of junk, cigarettes and whisky. It would cost them two guitarists, a lot of empty bottles and a Pulsar GTi before they would find what they were looking for: a mix of emo, poppunk and dance music.
"Don’t ask me about the influences, everything could act as an influence. We all come from different places, backgrounds. We played in different bands, listened to different music. This is just what came out. After all, we all want music we can dance to," says drummer Matt.
We could talk about the past, but the question is whether it’s really important. Yes, Hans started this band officially in 2003 to create the whiniest emo he could think of. Yes, Robin used to play punkrock. And yes, Matt used to play drums in several metalbands. But all they’re heading for right now, is a bright future.
With sing-a-long choruses, catchy tunes and a beat that’s made to make you move, what else could you do than dance to this?
When you want to book and/or receive a demo cd, mail your address to: booking(at)rerecs(dot)com or directly to the band at: thesummernightaffair(at)gmail(dot)com.
Until then, the Summer Night Affair will continue mixing EuroDance, Emo, Indie, Rock, French Pop into their own, unique sound.

Love,
The Summer Night Affair
