STOP WASTING $25-75 PER HOUR ON STUDIO TIME! STOP GETTING SUB-PAR RECORDINGS!
You can get the sound you want for MUCH LESS money. My rate is $15/Hr.
Thanks for having a look at this page. If you are looking for quality recordings, this will be worth your time and you'll be glad you did. If you're looking for shoddy "make an album for $400" deals, move on. I refuse to produce crap. Good recordings require attention to detail. Attention to detail takes time.
Unlikely Studios is a 2 room operation in part of my house. This is a home studio in the truest sense of the word. If you're looking for studio foam and soundproof booths, keep looking. I'm not there yet. If you're looking for a comfortable place to produce your album, we have some talking to do.
I have the ability to record 16 tracks at a time with practically infinite total tracks.
I have a good assortment of mic's including two MXL 9000 Tube condensers, a Nady RSM-4 Ribbon Mic, two MXL 990's, an AKG D112, two CAD KBM412's, two Nady CM88's two Nady CM90's, an Shure SM57, a Shure SM96, a Carvin CM67, and others.
I also have a workable array of studio gear, and plenty of amps, guitars, and effects to pull together the sound you're looking for. It's a small scale operation to be sure, but I can give you good sound for way less than other studios with comparable sound quality.
What I'll do and what I won't do.
I AM game for anything within the realms of rock, folk, bluegrass, electronic and all of the areas in between. Additionally, I play several instruments and know people who play several more, so I can help flesh out instrumental arrangements for singer songwriters as well.
I do not want to do work in the areas of modern r&b, rap, death metal (cookie monster vocals and Line 6 amps on "insane"), or modern country. I mean no offense, but those genres aren't my thing and I really do not want to listen to that kind of stuff hundreds of times over while mixing.
Recording is a subjective art. Something that sounds great to me may sound like crap to you, and that's fine. My goal is to make you sound the way you want. Listen to my samples. If you like what you hear, great! Let me know when you need some recording done and I'll be your guy. If you don't like what you hear, don't despair. My goal is to be a chameleon of sound. Bring me samples of what you want your sound to be and I will get you there. You can contact me here or email me directly at [email protected] for looking. - Dan
