Talking about Eugene’s Limit means talking about two guys who fell in love with electronic music back in the ’90s, when they began hearing the likes of Jean Michel Jarre and Ferry Corsten alltogether. The duo formed up steadily in 1999, when Fabio and Marco, old friends, decided to do their own music. Since the most difficult part of putting together a new band is giving it a proper name, they avoided this obstacle chosing it randomly. Fabio (a die-hard "trekker") took the TNG Technical Manual he owned (and was very proud of) and they chose the name with a finger on the page. And that’s it (this short background story is told only to tell once and for all that there’s nobody called Eugene involved in the project).
The first attempt to make some music were crazy: Fabio had a GEM keyboard capable of recording 5 tracks, and Marco had a tape recorder, and that was all. But in 2000 a fantastic 600 MHz Pentium III with a SB Live!Platinum came knocking on Fabio’s door (and some SoundFont libraries as well) so they gave birth to their first "serious" tracks.
It was not until recently, however, that Eugene’s Limit were seriously put in account by a young Italian label called TRC, who was willing enough (poor them!) to release their first works. When Sensational was "reanimated" recently, Eugene’s Limit were asked to open the new season with their single in two versions, "Already Gone".
During the next few months the guys were asked to remix some new tracks for fellow producers at Sensational, beginning with stunning "Japan" (by Sensational’s A/R Emanuele Marzolini, known as Italian Mafia DJ, which received support from DJ Elof, Tillman Uhrmacher, Randy Katana, Suzy Solar and many more), full of Japanese ethnic instruments and Zaa’s epic "Never Back", where the guys went orchestral. The Eugene’s Limit project is now in stand-by because of Fabio’s solo projects, which are taking him too much time (and he’s a lazy guy too).
