Throughout the world, dance and music can be found to have amazing similarities and we are enriched by their differences, creating opportunities from the exchange of information to develop new expressions through the unification of diverse ideas.The vision of The Silvestre Link is to train dancers with the Silvestre Technique and to reveal the idea of the development of a Brazilian Technique of Dance. It intends to explore a language of movement that uses Brazilian cultural symbols as its primary source and structural foundation (principally Orixa dance gestures); and, that does not attempt to confine one to or predefine any particular style, but rather that challenges the body as an universal symbol of expression.
