About Me

In the Mid-West there is a cult following for underground Hip-Hop however there aren't many consistent events that feed the hunger of all those who desire it. Most of the local shows consist of mainstream/gangsta rap. Substance is an attempt to bring back exactly that " Substance ". Where DJ's only spin vinyl, where mc's have meaning, where a breaker can come show his skills, where a slam poet or a soul artist can shine. It's not just packed with performances it's a chill vibe. The artists posted on the player are for the next upcoming event to give you an idea of whats in store. If Substance is what you crave you can help by spreading the word and bringing some friends.
