About Me

Tamara has been an Actress, a Playwright and a Director in Germany before coming to England in 1999 to further her studies in singing and acting. From the age of three she has taken part in several shows as a dancer and singer. Her professional debut followed in 1986, when she worked for German Television (ZDF) for the first time. After a brief appearance with ARD, Tamara became a regular child-presenter of BimBamBino, a children's programme, at TELE5. Work with MusicBox, SAT1 and other broadcasters followed. Whilst aged eleven she played the leading role (Sarah) in the TV-Film Der Pampelmusenmond, which was broadcast in Austria and Germany. By that time, Tamara had already written and produced several short plays, among them Die schusselige Tante, Blos koa Preiß, Meiers Opernabend, Ghost Love Story, and continued to do so until the mid 90's. After a long break Tamara started acting again with RADA at The Old Vic, where she acted in scenes as Cressida (Troilus and Cressida) Viola (Twelfth Night) and Helena (All's Well that Ends Well). She revisited Twelfth Night performing in various roles ranging from Olivia and a hairdresser to a part of a ship at Shakespeare's Globe. She played Miem in Missing by South African author Reza de Wet for C10 Theatre Co. at the Lion & Unicorn Pub Theatre. Tamara played the Duke in Othello for Hangman Productions in Sussex and the roles of Hippolyta, Titania and Quince in her own production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. She palyed Keith in Michael Frayn's Audience and Felicity in Tom Stoppard's The Real Inspector Hound. More recently she was a Siren in Tender Deadly Voices for Another Midas Theatre. Films include: Tripping playing Susan Smith and she appears in Zabriskie Bomb as a Dancer and in Chinese Dinner. Tamara has performed in opera scenes as 2nd Lady (Magic Flute), Frasquita (Carmen), First Philistine Lady (Samson) Flora Bervoix (La Traviata) and twice Ida (Fledermaus) with Randazzo Opera. She sang the role of Anna in Verdi's Nabucco for Brent Opera and also performed as a singer and dancer in Carmen for the same opera company. She has performed Zdenka in a scene from Arabella and covered the role of Amore (scene from L'Egisto) with Floral Opera. Tamara sang Vitellia in a scene from La Clemenza di Tito at The Irish Vocal Masterclasses in Dublin. She also sang Adele in the second act of Die Fledermaus for a gala performance of staged extracts for Opera Nova. Tamara has sung the role of Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor) at The Barn Theatre in Southwick, Sussex for Music Theatre 2000. Recently Tamara directed a staged version of Arianna a Naxos by Jospeh Haydn for Arcola Opera - Grimeborn at the Arcola Theatre, London. Tamara sang recitals at the opening of the artituk.com exhibition in Pangbourne and twice at St Mary's Church on Paddington Green in London. She was also part of the The London Orpheus Choir with whom she performed J.S. Bach's St Matthew Passion at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank, London and a programme of English Baroque as well as J.S. Bach's B-Minor Mass at St John's Smith Square, London. She also joined them for a Christmas Carole Concert at St. James’ Church, Piccadilly. She has also performed a recital Recently she sang during mass at St Peter's Church Fulham as part of an occasional choir and soloist. Tamara has worked as a voice over artist for Tom Monger's music cooperative Lunamoth and appears on his track on the Björk "Army Of Me" charity remix released in May 2005. Tamara is also a keen photographic model and has worked for magazines in Germany and photographic projects in the UK. Recently she has bared all for the Suzuki - Time for a Swift Exit Campaign shoot by Drew Gardener. She has sung at cabaret nights at The Volupte Lounge and The Paradise by Way of Kensal Green. Currently Tamara appears as Baroness Tamara von Stein zu Leitershofen in Ivy Paige Scandalous at the Volupte. She also works on a new opera-cabaret production.
