The beat never stops in my head, and I'm usually tapping it out on myself. If I'm listening to music I find it very difficult not to tap along to it, sing the bass line, or harmonize with the vocal part. I'm fairly certain that's annoying, but I really don't care. I'm pretty down to earth and straight forward. If someone asks me my opinion, I tell them what I really think. I'm not very talkative, but unlike most people, I actually listen to what other's have to say. I think I see things more objectively than most people, probably because I'm a robot. I have a dry sense of humor. I'm pretty literal, sometimes I miss obvious sarcasm. I suck at giving courtesy laughs for bad jokes. I rarely get stressed out. I don't lose my temper very easily. I've got ADD and I have trouble focusing, especially when the TV's on. I have some embarrassingly large holes in my musical knowledge. I can't pick a favorite band, or favorite anything for that matter. I can dig almost all music as long as I understand what to appreciate about it. I’m liberal, but politics annoy me. I’m culturally Jewish, but I don’t believe in God. I have a bone to pick with organized religion. My intellectual side thinks that everything happens randomly and that we as humans have to accept that we don’t have all the answers, but I find myself knocking on wood and hoping that karma exists. I tend to see the glass as half empty. I love coincidences and irony. I like to know where I am and I have a good sense of direction. I don't go out to parties and bar's much, I'd rather just chill with some good friends at someones house. I'm kinda OCD. I like cleanliness and order. I hate failing and making mistakes. People say I'm hard on myself, but I think it's just cause I have high standards. I think I'm too self conscious. I admire people who are thoughtful and intuitive, but still humble and patient. I don't respect people who talk themselves up and then can't deliver the goods. I have a serious sweet tooth. I'm a perfectionist. I want to go to flight school. As you can tell, I'm not good at organizing my thoughts.As I learn more about myself, I'll update this section.
I've been playing drums for about 12 years. I would define my style as "Power Pocket." My main influences are Dave Dicenso, Rod Morgenstein, Gavin Harrison, Thomas Haake, Morgen Agren, Carter Beauford, Morgan Rose, Dan Foord, and Mike Portnoy (who I don't particularly dig, but I can't deny my roots.) I play all backbeat styles including Rock, Funk, Metal, Hardcore, Hip-hop, and Reggae. I have a great sounding 6 piece DW kit, multiple snare drums, and an array of high end Sabian cymbals. I learn very quickly by ear and can read pretty well.
