Dror Yakar from the city of Holon in Israel is a professional guitar player for over 21 years and plays for over 28 years. Dror contributed to an uncountable number of groups bands and projects in Israel during his career both as a guitar player and a producer but only numerous of them as a band member, these include Zonzee, Black Widow (Almana Shchora) Reflections and METAL SCENT which is Dror's current band and considered by him to be the biggest and most important project he did so far. The band has completed it's second Album a few months ago and is signed with a US management: R.B.P.R. Enterprises. During his carrer Dror became interested in different types of music and delved into them. One of them was Jazz, as a musician who came from mainly Metal and Rock' roll it was only natural to get to know this Genre through Fusion and Progressive Rock only to discover that improvising properly in this kind of music involves the knowledge of Jazz more as a necessity than a preference. It ended with a 10 year period of playing Jazz and Fusion and recording with Zonzee the album Time Flies and participating in the " The Red Sea Jazz Festival" in August 2001. Around this time Dror teamed up to form Reflections with a group of talented musicians who shared a common interest in creating Electronic Trance Music using live instruments. Dror delved in Electronic Music with endless curiosity much beyond the original idea and actually expertise in the Genre creating his own tracks not necessarily even involving guitar playing in it and getting to know a lot of people in the industry. All this knowledge created a very unique, quite rare versatility and competence that naturally led Dror to take the producer part in projects, the biggest one of them was writing and arranging the original soundtrack for the Israeli feature film 'Six Million Pieces' with good friend Eli Zulta (Black Widow) and Avi Avliav. Dror is also a guitar instructor for 19 years , this is one of the things he loves to do the most, through the years he developed a unique approach and methods that are applied differently on each individual and creates a significant shortcut in the time of progress of every person that is interested in playing the guitar better. Currently Dror is back to his roots in the Metal era playing and writing with his band METAL SCENT.
