I am here for Friends

About Me

We are Rich and Sandy.
We have been married for 29 years. Has it been easy to be married that long you ask? NO! But we have learned over the years what covenant commitment is. So we take things one day at a time and try not to allow outside things and the LACK of money to come in and distroy what God has brought together.
God has blessed us with 3 wonderful children, 2 daughters, Jessica and Jamie and 1 son, Joshua. God has continued our heritage through our 6 wonderful grand children, 4 girls, and 2 boys. It's been a ride, but the journey's not over yet.
We spend ALOT of time with our family. We fight and argue like most families over stupid trival things but always seem to come together when it really counts.
We enjoy camping, canoeing and just hangin' out having cookouts and playing at the creek. We enjoy moon-lit nights, burning hot dogs on the fire and making those wonderful smoores with that oozing chocolate. We like playing volleyball, badmitten, card and board games.
We help each other work on the cars when they need fixin' and anything else that seems to fall apart so frequently. We sure do save money by being a do-it-yourself'er.
We are social people and enjoy this journey called life. We are not wealthy people as our world would consider wealth to be. But as far as finances are concerned, we stand on God's WORD where wealth is concerned.
But you shall remember the LORD your God: for it is he that gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore unto your fathers, as it is this day. (Deuteronomy 8:18)
But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for tomorrow: for tomorrow shall take thought of the things for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:33-34)
Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain that build it: unless the LORD keeps the city, the watchman wakes, but in vain. (Psalms 127:1)
The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22)
The LORD makes poor, and makes rich: He brings low, and lifts up. He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the rubbish, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and He has set the world upon them. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. (1 Samuel 2:7-9)
He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and permits not their cattle to decrease. (Psalms 107:38)
The LORD shall establish you a holy people unto himself, as he has sworn unto you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways. And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you. And the LORD shall make you bountiful in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give you. The LORD shall open unto you his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand: and you shall lend unto many nations, and you shall not borrow. And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you hearken unto the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them: And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. (Deuteronomy 28:9-14)
And the LORD your God will make you abound in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers (Deuteronomy 30:9)
With all these promises we have also learned, there is a balance in all things, through the precepts and concepts of His WORD for our journey.
He becomes poor who has a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent makes rich. He that gathers in summer is a wise son: but he that sleeps in harvest is a son that causes shame. (Proverbs 10:4-5)
There is one that makes himself rich, yet has nothing: there is one that makes himself poor, yet has great riches. (Proverbs 13:7)
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that makes haste to be rich shall not go unpunished. (Proverbs 28:20)
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit has he that works in that in which he labors? (Ecclesiastes 3:1-9)
But whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues in it, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seems to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. (James 1:25-27)
Our wealth is in our family, in our health and in our Personal relationship with Jesus Christ, with the ability to be able to love, serve and give to one another. In this family, no one gets left behind.
Joshua is the musician and Rich and Jamie are the poets of the house. Rich has been published in a book called "Mists Of Enchantment" from the National Library of Poetry 1995. Me and Jessica? Well, we are ones that make sure that life remains as normal as possible. What ever that is.
