Born in 1982 in Bailleul, in the north of France, luke daltan started both composing and mixing at the age of 15. Mostly influented at this time by techno dj's, such as Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, and also the hardcore scene from holland, his first tracks were based on rythmics, fast sound with little technical knowledge. At this age he went studying in Armentières and then in Lille as engineering student (2002). He mixed in a few parties and discovered an attraction for funk, disco and more globally all the ending 70's and 80's music. His tracks became more house oriented, but he still composed hard techno tracks, and also some remixes (Jeanne Mas, Bronsky Beat, Kraze, Praise Cats).
Today Luke Daltan proposes a finest work, with linear tracks that set slowly an emotionnal atmosphere, aspect of the music he discovered thanks to Josh Wink's sessions double cd mix set.
He even explores trip hop sound with the track "Les Rivages Verdoyants", and more recently with "Au gré des chemins"... Nowadays he listens to many kinds of music, and has many influences. He often mixes at the Barabao, a bar near his appartment.
