Elizaveta Sanicheva was born September†‬9th,†‬1982†‬in Chelyabinsk,†‬Russia.†‬She began her music studies at age†‬4.†‬When she was†‬5,†‬she began to write music.†‬In†‬1987,†‬she entered music school.†‬In†‬1994†‬she became a winner of the Young Composersâ€â€™ ‬Regional Competition†(‬Grand-Prixâ€)‬.†‬That same year,†‬she was awarded with the Chelyabinsk Region Governor Scholarship.†‬In†‬1995,†‬she participated in the Youth Composersâ€â€™ ‬Open Competition in Novosibirsk,†‬Siberia,†‬where she received second prize.
In†‬2000,†‬E.†‬Sanicheva earned a special diploma for the creative approach from the competition,†“‬Learning Classic Artsâ€â€â€¬,†‬in Voronezh,†‬Russia.†‬In†‬2001,†‬she graduated from Music College in Chelyabinsk as a musicologist and was given a place at Moscow State Conservatory as a composer.
During her studies in the conservatory,†‬E.†‬Sanicheva took part in workshops of Klaas de Vries,†‬Guy Rebel and G.†‬Stabler.†‬Her works were performed at the Moscow Conservatory during modern music concerts.†‬She also studied harpsichord and organ and participated in many concerts and projects in the conservatory and different venues as a harpsichordist and organist. She also studied orchestral conducting.†‬Her radiant gift of voice allowed her to take part in many contemporary music concerts and competitions,†‬where she performed her own works and as well as the works of other composers.
In the year†‬2004,†‬she became a participant of world-wide project,†“‬Prometheusâ€â€â€¬,†‬which consisted of five young Russian composers who wrote music to R.G.†‬Mohnnau’s famous poem,†“‬Prometheusâ€â€â€¬,†‬translated into five different European languages.
During her conservatory studies,†‬E.†‬Sanicheva also studied at jazz college in Moscow with the famous jazz pianist,†‬Liev Kushnir.
In†‬2006,†‬E.†‬Sanicheva graduated from the State Moscow Conservatory as a composer†(‬from Prof.†‬R.†‬Ledenev’s classâ€) ‬and,†‬from†‬2006†‬to†‬2008,†‬worked as a Musical Instruments Chair Assistant at the Moscow State Humanitarian University†(‬named after M.†‬Scholokhovâ€)‬,†‬where she taught composition,†‬arranging,†‬and also taught her own†‬jazz aesthetics course.
In†‬2007,†‬she became a member of the Russian Composersâ€â€™ ‬Union.†‬In the same year, as a classical pianist†‬she was given a diploma from the world-wide†“‬2nd International Modern Art and Education Competitionâ€â€â€¬.
â€In the year 2008, she has been given the HSP Huygens Scholarship (Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science Scholarship) and in the years 2008-2009 studied at Rotterdam Conservatory as a classical composer (with Klaas de Vries) and jazz pianist (with Kris Goessens), having obtained there her second Master Degree in composition.
Elizaveta is an author of many chamber,†‬symphonic and electronic works,†‬multimedia projects,†‬music for movie, dance and stage performances, instant compositions and live sets.†‬Her works are performed in Russia,†‬Korea,†‬Netherlands,†‬Austria and United States:†‬her music was performed by such musicians as Henri Bok†(‬Netherlandsâ€)‬,†‬Asko/Schoenberg ensemble†(‬Netherlandsâ€)‬,†‬Studio for New Music†(‬Russiaâ€)‬,†‬Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music†(‬Russiaâ€)‬,†‬etcâ€; ‬her compositions are part of such festivals as Moscow Autumn†(‬Russiaâ€)‬,†‬Red Sound†(‬Netherlandsâ€)‬,†‬Contemporary Music Daegu Festival†(‬Koreaâ€)‬.†‬As a singer and pianist Elizaveta worked with conductors Igor Dronov†(‬Russiaâ€)‬,†‬Bas Wiegers†(‬The Netherlandsâ€)‬,†‬Roberto Beltran†(‬The Netherlandsâ€) and plays in many festivals, concerts and performances‬.†As a producer takes part in making contemporary music concert programs for Moscow Philharmonic and other venues. ‬In the year†‬2007†‬a CD with her work†“‬Rivers Insideâ€â€ ‬was released in Korea.†Currently Elizaveta works as a co-author on a book about contemporary composition and improvisation techniques.
