I'm originally from Maui and moved to Oahu to attend UH Manoa. I graduated with a BS in Computer Science and have since resided on Oahu. There were no job opportunities back on Maui so I pursued what was available on the most technical island closest to home. With the economy still recovering from the .com bust, it was difficult to find a lucrative job in this particular field. I was forced to take a position which most technical geeks like me hate; Field Engineer. After a year of busting ass, I took a management role. I never liked delegating work, however, it was much better than being a Field Engineer in some aspects. Finally, after 4 years, the knock came at my door. APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER. YES!... It has been 10 years away from Maui. I have technically made Oahu my home, but I think it's time to move on. I have decided, tentatively, to move to San Diego at the end o' summer. I'm looking at staying there for a year and then deciding on whether I want to stay, move somewhere else, or move back home to Maui or Oahu. Time and opportunity will tell.
Other then my wonderful new job and idea of getting away from this island, I do have a hobby that I enjoy and hopefully will be able to continue to once I move. Fishing is my life. I'll whip persistantly until I hook something good... a little synonymous to my dating life, however I haven't found anywhere I'd like to throw my pole. LOL!
Besides the hobby that I will never let go, so are the friends that I have. You know I love you bitches.
