Never Ever Give Up!! Pray And Then Pray More!!! Greetings to all, first and foremost I am an Elvis fan and have been since the age of three. My Mother says it all began when I first saw him on TV. I have cousins that lived behind Graceland and an Aunt that saw him 39 times in concert, not to mention up teen times around Memphis. Doing Elvis is either in your blood or not. I spent 10 years of my life in the Navy and once while in the Philippines, I got up and sang with a local band and they loved Elvis needless to say. I sang 5 songs and the last one was gospel. A women in the audience came up crying and gave me a dozen roses. I told her that there was no need for that, because I new it probably took all her money to do that. She said that I didn't understand, that she had lost her Mother the week before and she was praying to her Lord to let her know that she was ok. She said her Mother was a big Elvis fan and that the Gospel song I sang was her favorite, which was "How Great Thou Art" and when I sang it she knew her Mother was ok. We shed some happy tears together and became good friends. I am not Elvis, but a man who admired him greatly and if I can touch a heart or bring back a special memory then so be it.
