About Me

Colin Pirrone was born on August 19, 1988. Colin grew up in the Whitehall projects section in the Frankford area of Philadelphia, PA. He first became interested in music when he was in middle school being influenced by the movie “House Party” and the smash hit movie of 2002 “8 Mile”. He started writing lyrics in 8th grade and by High-School he decided that a rapper is what he wanted to be in life. 10th grade is where he met friend and mentor, Twizz. In High-School Colin began participating in minor rap battles and due to the color of his skin and his shy attitude he was not taken seriously as a rap artist. But that did not stop him from excelling with his talent. He used this as an advantage over his competition. All the negativity and racism he faced only made him more determined to pursue his dream. Being doubted and not supported by his parents Colin was forced to go behind their backs and find ways to work on his music, even if it meant putting his education in jeopardy. The first time Colin ever stepped foot in a recording studio he cut school, and was with a member of his hip-hop group E.L.E. He had no money and no idea what to expect. When the owner of Global Warning Production told him the price per session was $700.00 they both knew Colin couldn’t afford it. However, seeing Colin’s seriousness with music, the owner gave the two a chance. He put on a beat and he said to them “let me hear what you got.” The owner played a beat and Colin’s friend Marquice Holliday went first. When Colin saw that the owner was not impressed with Marquice’s performance he overcame his doubts. While listening to the music Colin quickly came up with a rhyme to go along with it. After rapping for about two minutes Colin had noticed the owner of the studio bobbing his head along with his rapping. After hearing Colin rap the owner was so enthusiastic he cut Colin a deal. “You bring me 50 dollars…” he said “and I will let you record here”. Since then Colin has begun making a name for his self. He has done ghost writing for 2 independent labels, he has also gained the attention of well known 90’s music producer Thomas Bagley. The owner of Global Warning Productions and Thomas Bagley were asked about why they have taken a liking to Colin, they simply say “God tells me to work with him.” Representing what music was in the 90’s Colin has a lot to bring to the music industry. Colin is known for his old school style and battle driven lyrics. With a smooth voice that is loved by female fans paired with his emotional songs and drive Colin’s talent continues to excel and improve. As of right now Colin is still finding time to work on his music in hopes of one day getting signed and being a worldwide influence to people of all ages and ethnicity.
