I am many things rolled into one. An empath, an artist, an avid collector of music, a lover of all five senses and sensuality. ;)
The smell of Night Blooming Jasmine, or rays of sunlight pouring through a misty forest can make my heart swoon. I am adventurous, fearless, strong, soft, nurturing, feminine, masculine, sensual, witty, thoughtful, goofy, shy and can take care of myself in any given situation. ;)
I am very fortunate to have the Parents I have. The values they instilled in me and my siblings are truly beautiful.
I am a filmmaker: storyteller, director, cinematographer, editor, still photographer, actor, humanitarian and feeble musician. ;)
The only thing I have ever wanted to be since I was a little girl was a filmmaker. Film has the ability to entertain, inform, inspire and change lives. In it's best form, it is a pure expression of the human spirit, heart and mind.
I think music functions more effectively on this level (perhaps because it is only 3.5 minutes of an intense emotion/experience instead of 1-2 hours of that intensity). Yet when done right, films can be soul moving.
I came to Hollywood in the early 90's to follow my dream. Originally I wanted to go to NY, L.A. being the antithesis of who I am. Fate brought me here on it's own accord, as it often does.
I have found much happiness in Venice, it's suits me well. But I'd love my permanent residence to be a bit more soulful and centralized, if you know what I mean. I'd like to live in a more traditional value system, if it exists anywhere.
For now I am in L.A. focusing on filmmaking. I spent over a decade on high profile films in the camera department, for which I will ever be grateful, i.e. my honed knowledge, skills, and understanding of personalities and politics on set and behind the scene.
As far as Directing goes, 2007 has been very busy, and I am SO grateful. Thanks BIG MAN!!! I love ya!
