Words Out Loud is a writing group open to all youth who desire to write.
I'm a Poet, mom and known around town as the Poetry Mom. Last winter I had a crazy idea that I would facilitate a writing group for youth writers. Word got out fast that I was doing this, and the Librarians at Rondo said "THIS IS A GOOD IDEA!"
I knew that no matter how much energy and determination I had that I couldn't do it alone. So I have asked friends, artists, community members just about anyone I know to come and give an hour to the poets. And they have responded with a YES...So we will have poets, set designers, directors, deejays, story tellers, musicians, actors and even a gardener turned poet come and share their stories and life experiences with us.
