Hello. I'm Bret Walton. Before founding Destiny Now, I was a songwriter discovered by the late Dottie Rambo. In addition to writing "Three Old Rusty Nails" which was recorded by Mike Purkey on Trinity Broadcasting Network, I had the privilege of co-writing with Dottie. She and I collaborated on "Mama Rocked My Cradle", which you will find here. Of all my songs, "Come Morning I'll Be Gone" was her favorite. It's my tribute to her. You will find it here also.Dottie was the most patient and encouraging teacher. Her strict approach to songwriting made me the best I could possibly be. She was a FIRM believer in songs being Scripturally accurate. She taught me to pay close attention to phrasing and rhyme scheme. But most of all, she taught me to write my heart.Dottie was not only my mentor and teacher, she was a dear friend to my family. We will all miss her so much. Please keep her family lifted up in prayer.
